SellerCockpit for Etsy is a Chrome browser extension that helps Etsy sellers save and reuse listing templates (title, description, tags) directly inside the Etsy listing editor. This page explains what data the extension handles and how.
What data the extension stores
The extension stores only the templates you explicitly create:
- Listing title text
- Listing description text
- Listing tags
- Price and quantity
- Who made it and when it was made
- Item type (finished product or supply)
This data is saved exclusively in your browser's local storage
(chrome.storage.local). It never leaves your device.
What data the extension does NOT collect
- No personal information (name, email, address, etc.)
- No browsing history or activity outside of Etsy seller pages
- No analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
- No cookies
Data sharing and third parties
The extension makes no network requests to external servers. Your template data is never transmitted to any third party, including the extension developer.
Permissions used and why
- storage — to save and load your templates locally in your browser.
-
Host access to
https://*.etsy.com/your/shops/*— to inject the sidebar into Etsy's listing editor pages. The extension only activates on seller shop management pages.
Data deletion
You can delete all stored templates at any time by removing the extension from Chrome (chrome://extensions → Remove). Uninstalling the extension permanently deletes all locally stored data.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL. Continued use of the extension after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
